As long as your NFT appears on your profile, it's still in your wallet. NFTs are linked to a source of media (e.g. an image, video or, audio file) so when the artwork doesn't appear, the connection between the artwork and the NFT may be broken.
Reasons Why Your Item May Not Show:
- Connected to the incorrect wallet
- Metadata needs to be refreshed
- Item may be marked as NSFW
- Item may be banned/blocked
Connected to the Incorrect Wallet:
You might be connected to Rarible with a different wallet. The NFT you own on one Rarible account will not show up on another.
1. View your active browser extensions.
Note: To try to eliminate this issue in the future, you can pin your wallet extensions so you're able to identify which wallet you are using.
2. Click on the globe icon on the top of your wallet provider's extension of browser.
3. Look at the connection and active statuses of your wallets.
For example, the image below shows that account 1 is active on Rarible and account 2 isn't. If the bottom wallet holds the NFT you want to view, it would not show on your profile because you connected with a different wallet.
4. Click on the three vertical dots on the right-hand side of the current, active wallet and then select "Disconnect this account."
5. Click on "Switch to this account" on the wallet you'd like to connect to.
6. Your selected wallet will now be active and connected.
7. Go on to Rarible and re-connect and sign in to Rarible with your active wallet.
Your NFT should now appear on your account as you will be logged in to the correct account that stores your NFT.
Note: You may need to do a hard refresh of Rarible so the sites register the new connection.
Metadata Needs to be Refreshed:
Option 1
1. Click on the "Refresh" button that is displayed where your NFT should be.
Your NFT should show now.
Option 2
1. Click on the three dots on the bottom right-hand side of your NFT.
2. Click on “Refresh Metadata.”
After waiting a few minutes, perform a hard refresh of Rarible and the artwork should appear.
Item May Be Marked as NSFW:
1. On your profile, look under the "Options" function.
2. Click on "Show NSFW" to see your NFT that may have been marked as NSFW.
If your item was marked as NSFW, now you should see it on your profile.
Note: Some items, users and collections are marked as NSFW to keep our community safe for people of all ages.
Item May Be Banned/Blocked:
Your NFT may not appear at all on your profile due to it being banned/blocked. Follow this article to find out more: I think my NFT, collection or account disappeared from Rarible. Why?
