One of our primary goals is to ensure we provide the safest possible experience for our users. Our verification process is one of the key ways to make this possible.
Note: You do not gain automatic verification when you add your X (Twitter) account to your profile. You have to apply for verification.
What is verification?
When you are verified, you get a yellow checkmark next to your profile. This means that your profile has been checked by our team and has been marked as an authentic profile.
Benefits of verification:
- It provides security for yourself and others because it shows that you are the real owner of the account
- You can possibly gain more buyers because they will have more trust in the fact that they are buying real NFTs
- You gain the advantage of appearing higher on our explore and leaderboard pages
Note: It does not mean that you will have instant success on the marketplace. It’s one step of the process to becoming the next big crypto artist or collector.
Steps to apply for verification:
1. Click on your profile.
2. Select "Settings."
3. Click on the "Get Verified" button.
4. Complete the verification form.
5. Click on "Submit" on the bottom of the form.
6. Now, just sit back and wait for our verification team to access your request.

3. Your social media accounts are checked. This is to see if you are promoting the work you intend to post on Rarible and to identify if it correlates to the Rarible profile provided.
Note: We don't approve or deny based on your number of followers.
4. If you are a creator, the work in progress that you submitted on the form is checked to ensure it is authentic.
5. If you are a creator, reverse image searches are performed on the items you've created on Rarible to ensure no unauthorized images are being created.
6. If your application is genuine and has met all of the requirements, it gets approved!
Why could my application take a while to be reviewed?
There are two main reasons:
1. We receive an extreme number of requests for verification daily.
2. Every submission is reviewed by a human and it takes some time because we want to keep our site as safe as possible for our community.
We will do our best to review your application within 14 working days. Please be understanding that we are attempting to consider your safety.
Is buying from verified artists safe?
Nothing is ever 100% safe. You should always do your own additional research to be extra cautious.
However, we try our hardest to ensure that the users and collections are legit and safe but remember that these verified users or collections may add harmful or unauthorized items in the future after verification so you need to be vigilant.
A good way to try to find out if the NFT is legit, you can use a blockchain scanner such as Etherscan or Polygonscan to trace the original creator. Also, remember to look at the quality of the NFT, if it is somewhat blurry, this could mean that it is stolen.
If ever you do come across an account or collection that seems to be violating our Terms of Service, please report them. We want to keep Rarible as authentic, fun, and healthy as possible.
